Can You Speed Up a Video on a Web Page When It Doesn't Offer a Speed Control?
You know what I mean - on YouTube you have a way of adjusting the playback rate.
Fortunately, yes, there *may* be something you can do.
CTRL SHIFT I (eye) will get you Developer Tools, and the left-most icon is the inspect thing you can use to go to the video element of the page - I think you might only need to hover on it to pull it up in the Developer Tools tab.
And that *might* be enough - if you find that it's an MP4 file you can copy the link and paste that in a new tab in Chrome and that's all you need - Chrome will give you a speed knob!
Or, for a more hacky solution, if you know that it's using JW Player (right click on the video LOOKING for a speed control), you can go into the Console tab in Developer Tools and do something like (if this doesn't work, go back to chatGPT for help😊):
jwplayer().setPlaybackRate(2.0); // which worked for me!
