Shame on Google and Microsoft.. Why?

Does Google really want Sheets to win? When will they finally accept that it's crap?

Microsoft, one can understand - they've heard about alternatives to Excel for so long, they just tune out when they hear of a new one.. Still, if Bing is supposed to compete with Google in search, shouldn't it at least try to do better?

Few weeks ago, I clicked on a Google news link titled "The tyranny of Microsoft Excel might finally be over." Followed it only so far as to make out the name "Rows"

But, I was intrigued today and wanted to find that page again.

Couldn't!

On Google, I tried just about everything I could - "excel monopoly", "new alternative to excel", ... nothing.

Fortunately, Chrome lets you search your history and that helped me nail it.

Why?

Could this potentially be a massive NBO? Convert macros for people? Sometimes, the big $ is in the boring stuff..
