Getting to the Big Leagues

What a friend told me recently about a job transition :

1. Reading "System Design Interview - An Insider's Guide" by Alex Yu helped out big time - she read it 3-4 times page by page. He's got a second version coming out.
2. educative.io was a big help.
3. Leetcode was part of the journey.
4. Books on becoming a first-time manager were helpful.
5. "Designing Data Intensive Applications" by Martin Kleppmann was massive. (I haven't seen a book which such a high (genuine) rating.
6. White papers from cos like NFLX were huge.
