Setting Up A New Blogger Account to Use an Existing Adsense Account

My verdict is that Google's UI is messed up. Better to use a wizard approach to get on the right track from the beginning, to find out that this user is in the "want to start a new blog and use an existing Adsense account" bucket.

Else? You go into Earnings and the only option you see is "Create Adsense" and that's the kiss of death since each person is only allowed one Adsense account.

So, what's the right way?

Create away, add as many posts to your new blog, but, DON'T mess with Earnings/Adsense ... until

You add this email (associated with this blog) as a user to your existing Adsense account.

What if you made the mistake and clicked on Create Adsense? All is not lost but your time - you'll now need to create a new email address, create a Google account with it and then invite that email to contribute to your blog, once the invitation has been accepted (only possible if that email (could be .yahoo) has a Google account, set permission for that new email to Admin, logout, login with new email, then delete the old email. Now, log back in and go to Earnings and, if you've added this email to your existing Adsense account, you'll see the button says Connect Adsense instead of Create Adsense.

Thanks Google for the mess :)
