Why Can't I Unhide Rows in Excel?

But, has me thinking - You clicked on "Unhide" and Excel refused to comply for a "valid" reason.

Point? Why can't a multi-trillion dollar corp like Micro realize what the user's intention was and (like you get a tool-tip when you hover on a menu item), give you some kind of feedback telling you what you *need* to do to get where you want?
