In "The McKinsey Engagement" : One of the byproducts of a business school education is the collection of frameworks and methodologies in all the major areas of business problem solving. The professors are subject-matter experts and one of their jobs is to inform the students of the most important thinking in their area of expertise. This includes providing students with frameworks that summarize key ideas and then teaching them how to use those frameworks.
